TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to all trips organised by Laitolya Tours And Safaris Ltd registered number.7223 on 19th July 1979. Registered office Meru plaza, Ngaranaro, P.O.Box 7319 Arusha, Tanzania and it’s oversees associates. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking. Clients booking by telephone, web or e-mail will be deemed to have read and accepted the booking conditions set out below.

Laitolya Tours And Safaris Ltd is a tour operator in Tanzania that organises tours and safari in east Africa. Your booking of a tour with the company signifies your acceptance of the terms and conditions of Laitolya tours and safari Ltd to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions which you may seek to apply to the contract.

IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

“We” or “Us” or “Our” means Laitolya Tours And Safari Ltd “You” means the person making the booking and includes all persons included on the particular booking who by confirming a booking will have acknowledge receipt and accepted these terms and conditions “Participant” includes you and any other person taking part in the trip.

RATES & VALIDITY

Our package rates include all expenses, accommodation on full board, the safari vehicle and drivers expense, park entrance fees, crater service at Ngorongoro and all government fees and taxes. On receipt of your non-refundable deposit, subject to availability and at our discretion, Laitolya Tours And Safari Ltd will reserve your place on your selected arrangements. A contract is only made between you & us upon your booking being confirmed & accepted by us and our confirmation thereof to either you or your agent.

BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS

A non-refundable deposit of 50% for booking your tour is needed at least 90 days prior to your traveling date to secure your accommodation and other traveling logistics, and the balance to be paid 30 days before the commencement of the tour. Payment in full is required where booking is made less than 30 days.

Bookings cannot be confirmed until such payment is received. Laitolya Tours & Safaris recommends you to take full insurance cover in your country of residence at the time of booking your trip to cover you against any cancellations, sickness, lost baggage, changes, curtailment due to natural disasters, strikes and riots etc.

COVID REFUNDS POLICY

ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATION BY LAITOLYA TOURS

The company reserves the right to alter arrangements of the route or itinerary or to cancel the operation of a schedule tour should such condition be necessary for the safety (including Force Majeure) of the client and/ or both parties involved on your tour. In this unlikely event of your safari having to be cancelled resulting from any of the reasons above or not directly under the control of Laitolya Tours & Safari; an alternative safari, which would be of the same value as the one booked by you earlier shall be offered.

ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

The Client may cancel the booking at any time provided that the cancellation is communicated to the Company in writing and is not the non-refundable deposit. Cancellation charges will be applied as shown below calculated from the day when written notice is received by the Company. Any alteration should be made at least 21 days before arrival and where alternation will cost more; the client would be required to pay the difference. Cancellation charges as follow will apply:

  • 10% of the final invoice is non-refundable regardless of when the cancellation request takes place.
  • Cancelations made up to 60 days prior to arrival refund to be made will be 50% of the total amount paid.
  • No refunds will made if cancellation is made within 30 days of arrival or in the case of a ‘No Show’. 100% of the final invoice will be retained by Laitolya Tour & Safaris to fulfil our obligations to suppliers.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Please note that any special dietary request needs to be communicated in writing to Laitolya Tours & Safaris at the time of making the bookings.

LIABILITY

The Company and its agents abroad or local act only as agent of the passenger in all matters relating to tours. The company’s liability to passenger in its own vehicles is governed by the respective laws of Tanzania and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of the country.
The company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage, although due care will be taken to safe guard baggage.

IMMIGRATION & VISA

All visitors to Tanzania require apart from a valid passport, visa which can be obtained from any Tanzania diplomatic mission or consulate abroad or at immigration office at the airport or boarder entry. Your stay in Tanzania is limited within the period authorized by immigration authorities Should you
wish to extend your stay you should contact the nearest immigration office in good time.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

The Client MUST take out suitable travel insurance in order to take part in a tour organised by the Company. Clients are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance. A suitable insurance policy should provide adequate cover for medical expenses arising through illness or accident prior to or during the holiday and loss of holiday monies through cancellation and curtailment of the holiday for insurable reasons. Clients should ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities in their tour. Clients should satisfy themselves that any travel insurance arranged is what they require and should arrange supplementary insurance if need be.

IMAGES:

Images featured in our brochures are used for illustration purposes only. Clients agree that any images taken of their likeness whilst a participant on our tours by Laitolya Tours & Safaris or through the supply of image(s) by fellow clients can be used in any form in Laitolya Tours & Safaris media.

COMPLAINTS:

If the Client has a complaint about any of the tour services, the Client must bring it to the attention of the tour leader or other representative of the Company at the time so that they may use their reasonable endeavors to rectify the situation. Failure to complain at the time will affect the Client’s ability to claim compensation from the Company and its agents. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to the Company or its agent within a reasonable period of not more than one month after the completion of the tour. Should the parties fail to resolve the matter, either party may refer it to Tanzania arbitration council.

COVID PROTOCOLS

We are looking forward to welcoming you back with open arms and all the safety measures required. We are keen to ensure safety for our guests and staff members. Our team is well informed and continues to receive continuous training about COVID 19 and how to identify symptoms and signs. Our guides have regular temperature and health checks and are required to sanitize their hands and wear face masks/shields when handling your luggage, you will also have the option to have your luggage sanitized. Our vehicles are cleaned and disinfected after every transfer. We will also ensure physical distancing when needed. All lodges and hotels booked will also be expected to have the same standards of safety to ensure a safe and pleasant experience while in Tanzania.
